israiliyatMUN’24 CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

Dear University Students,

The israiliyatMUN’24 conference organizing committee is delighted to invite you to our Virtual Model United Nations Conference, which will be held between December 6-8, 2024.

Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations. Students research national policies on various issues and debate agendas in front of presiding officers who guide and evaluate the discussion.

As a side event of the eighth ICIJS conference, we aim to bring together domestic and international university students for an MUN focused on Israel and Jewish studies.

Israel-Gaza Conflict: A Meeting Point for Future Leaders Are you ready to delve into one of the most complex issues in the Middle East with israiliyatMUN’24?

What sets israiliyatMUN’24 apart from other MUN conferences is its exclusive focus on Israel and Jewish studies. This year's topic is the Israel-Hamas conflict. The Israel-Hamas conflict will be discussed in political, security, economic, religious, and other dimensions, and various approaches to resolving the issue will be presented.

Within the framework of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), and the International Court of Justice (ICJ), open sessions will be held to discuss in depth the security, political, and legal dimensions of the Israel-Gaza conflict.

The conference languages are Turkish and English. A summary of the main topics and participants of each session is presented below:
