Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to announce the Eighth International Conference on Israel and Judaism Studies (ICIJS’24), hosted by Israiliyat: Journal of Israeli and Judaic Studies (e-ISSN 2645-890X), to be held virtually from December 2 to 6, 2024. We cordially invite you to send submissions that delve into the multifaceted aspects of Israeli and Jewish studies.

ICIJS’24 is the eighth in an annual conference series held in December. The first three were held in person in Konya (2017), Bandirma Onyedi Eylul University (2018), and Izmir Democracy University (2019), while the last four were virtual.

Application/ Registration and Presentation

The application/ registration and presentation processes in conference consist of four phases totally:

(i) application by submitting an abstract and

(ii) submitting the full text and/or research article (optional)

Accepted submissions may be presented via

(i) live (synchronous)/ remote presenting (with Q&A) and/or

(ii) a pre-recorded (asynchronous) video presentation (with live Q&A (hybrid / simulive) optional)

All presenters will receive a certificate of e-participation. Abstracts or full papers will be published in the Proceeding and Abstract Book (with e-ISBN), and full papers may be published in the Israiliyat journal or an edited volume following peer review.

Important Dates

Please, remember the following important dates:

(i) Abstract Deadline: November 25, 2024

(ii) Notification of Acceptance: immediately following review

(iii) Full Paper/Video Submission Deadline: December 2, 2024

(iv) Conference Dates: December 2-6, 2024

Main Theme and Topics

The conference covers all subfields of Israel and Jewish studies, including but not limited to: politics, international relations, history, theology, sociology, and other related traditional or contemporary disciplines.

Awards

Israel and Judaism Studies Awards will be given to distinguished doctoral and master's theses, as well as original/translated books and academic articles related to Israel and Jewish studies in Turkey.

MUN
