Modification of Program
The ICIJS reserves the right to make alterations to the program, date and/or session at any time without prior notice.
Cancellation of the Conference and Liability
In the event that the conference cannot be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the conference organizers (force majeure) or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence of the conference organizers, the conference organizers cannot be held liable by attendees.
Data Protection
Information given to the ICIJS by the participants will be recorded in the organizer’s databases and will be shared with providers of services relating to the event (e.g. to facilitate live streaming). If you do not wish to receive further correspondence from ICIJS unrelated to the event, please tell us by email at <info@israiliyat.com>.
ICIJS may use the speaker’s name and affiliation for promoting participant attendance at the conference. Presentations given to the ICIJS team will be permanently deleted from any ICIJS computers or storage devices upon completion of the presentation. Backup copies will also be deleted and shall not be distributed to third parties without express consent from the authors.
Code of Conduct-Non-Discrimination Policy
The open exchange of ideas and the freedom of thought and expression are central to the aims and goals of ICIJS. These aims and goals require an environment that recognizes the inherent worth of every person and group, that fosters dignity, understanding, and mutual respect, and that embraces diversity.
ICIJS is firmly committed to prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status religion, national origin, ancestry, or disability at its conferences. All individuals are entitled to participate in any ICIJS free of discrimination, including harassment relating to any of the above factors.
If you submit an abstract to ICIJS, it is assumed that you understand and agree to abide by statement of non-discrimination, and will follow it in its entirety. Conference participants violating these rules will be sanctioned by expelling from the conference and having their abstract(s) and video(s) removed at the discretion of the conference organizers.
Partnership
We welcome partnership with Turkish and International institutions interested in co-sponsoring the conference. The names and logos of partnering institutions will be used in our email, website, social media, proceedings and all other materials before, during and after the Conference. Partnering institutions will be expected to advertise the conference displaying its name and logo and URL on their own websites and via institutional social media and other promotional tools.
Academic partnership/ Collaboration must be documented through agreement. The agreement includes non-financial collaborations such as promoting participation in the conference and does not create any financial or funding obligation on either party. Partner institutions may appoint their members to the organizing and Scientific Committees.
Responsibilities of Scientific Committee (SC) Members
Members of the Scientific Committee should possess expertise relevant to subject areas covered by the conference's aim and scope. The ideal Scientific Committee includes a range of well-established and recognized experts from academia and scholarly research organizations who will generally hold a doctoral degree.
Scientific Committee members will serve a variety of functions. These may include:
providing advice on scientific matters
providing advice about topics to be covered by the conference
helping raise the profile of the conference in the academic community
sharing ideas, based on data and personal experiences.
reviewing submissions to the conference;
if invited, attending and contributing to organization committee meetings.
There is no time limit to membership in the Scientific Committee Membership of the board is renewed each term by sending a "Scientific Committee Renewal Notice" to its members by e-mail every year. The organizing committee reserves the right to not renew the memberships of people sitting on the Scientific Committee. New committee members may replace inactive committee members.
Past conference (co-)Chairs, and Organizing Committee or Award Review Committee members, gain automatic membership in the Scientific Committee.

Responsibilities of Award Review Committee (ARC) Members
Committee members work to promote a diverse set of nominations. They review nominations and select winners and submit the names of awardees for awards. The conference co-chairs take an advisory role in helping the committee reach its decisions.
Members of the Award Review Committee will automatically become members of the Scientific Committee.

Responsibilities of Organizing Committee (OC) Members
The members are selected by the co-chairs in consultation with the journal editorial board. A well-structured program committee will have a range of expertise spanning the subject area, including well-established and recognized leaders in the field from academia. The inclusion of early career academics having Ph.D.s is encouraged. The inclusion of ‘big names' as a draw is encouraged only if these individuals agree to play a significant active role in the conference.
The organizing committee is comprised of 5-7 individuals who are responsible for deciding the conference’s policies and scope. Committee decisions must be supported by an absolute majority of member’s votes.
The organizing committee participates in the abstract review process and examines the paper submitted as to methodology, scope, and originality and decides whether they are appropriate for presentation. When deemed necessary, the organizing committee refers papers to the scientific committee for expert evaluation. Members attend preparatory meetings. Their responsibilities include assisting the conference organizing chair in determining conference themes and session topics and in soliciting abstracts.

Past Organizing Committee members automatically become members of the Scientific Committee.
Responsibilities of Organizing Committee (co)Chair(s)
The conference chairs are responsible for overseeing and ensuring the execution of all aspects relating to the conference. They serve as the principal planners, organizers, coordinators, and focal points for the meeting. They are responsible for scheduling a well-balanced, high-quality scientific program to be presented at the conference.
They select the conference committees' members and coordinate the activities of the committees, encouraging abstract/ manuscript submission, expediting reviewing processes, selecting the session chairs, and providing a post-conference report.
The chairs organize and participate the preparatory meeting as a pre-conference event.
Organizing Committee co-chairs, automatically become members of the Scientific Committee.

Responsibilities of Organizing Committee Secretary
The conference secretariat generally helps the organizing committee chairs prepare the conference program and performs any other duty assigned by the Committee.
The secretary is expected to collect and prepare conference materials (keeping records of correspondence, pre-conference preparatory meeting minutes, etc.)
A copy of each e-mail sent to editor <esbaskanlar@israiliyat.com>, committee members <editorialcommittee@israiliyat.com>or sent to journal <info@israiliyat.com> forwarded to the secretary.
Conference secretaries are responsible answer general queries about the conference through email. When sending an e-mail to a person or group, the secretary of the committee should send by making cc (carbon copy) to <esbaskanlar@israiliyat.com>.
The organizing committee secretary makes technical preliminary evaluations by checking the compliance of the styles in line with the writing rules and publication principles of the conference.
Responsibilities of Media Relations Director
A conference's media affairs director manages the flow of communication between the conference and the media.

Roles and Responsibilities of Editor
Conducting a preliminary review of the content to identify areas that may need improvement, such as grammar, clarity, coherence, or overall quality.
Evaluating the overall structure and organization of the document, including headings, paragraphs, and overall flow.
Formatting the document to meet specified style requirements, including font, font size, spacing, margins, and alignment.
Reviewing written content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and typographical errors.
Ensuring that visual elements (e.g., tables, figures) are correctly formatted and labeled.
Verifying the accuracy of citations, references, and footnotes according to a specified citation style (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago).
Cross-checking in-text citations with the reference list or bibliography.
Using Microsoft Word's tracking and commenting features to facilitate the editing process.
Creating and customizing document templates to meet specific requirements, including branding, formatting, and style guidelines.
Roles and Responsibilities of Technical Director
Technical director must-have knowledge in this fields: account and domain name (Google Account, Google Domain), online video conferencing (Google Meet), publishing and broadcasting (YouTube), Websites publishing (Google Sites, Google Chrome), online calendar and scheduling (Google Calendar), cloud storage (Google Drive), office editing (MS Word, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides: Pdf), translation (Google Translate)
Conference uses the Google ecosystem refers to a collection of interconnected products and services developed by Google. Therefore the he/she must have overseeing efforts to integrate various Google products and services to create seamless user experiences across the ecosystem.
Evaluating and recommending appropriate technical solutions based on the specific needs of the conference.
Integrating Google products and tools with other third-party applications to enhance productivity and functionality.
A communication platform provides one or more communication channels that can be categorized along four dimensions: synchrony (sync/async), directionality (1-way/2-way), scale (1-1/ groups- means that there is privacy or there is society's right to know), and content (text, image, audio, and video).
